Lovely Swedish actress
Malin Akerman has joined the cast of the CIA thriller
The Numbers Station, which already has
Ethan Hawke attached to star.
The film will be directed by Danish filmmaker
Kasper Barfoed who you probably remember from title
The Candidate and is also attached to Hammer's Wake project.
Barfoed is directing from an
F. Scott Frazier script, and the story centers on “a disgraced black ops agent tasked with a dead-end job of protecting a young woman in the middle of the Nevada desert.
When the two come under attack, they have to fight to stay alive.” No hard to guess that Hawke will play “disgraced black ops agent” while Akerman will play a young woman.
Hawke is currently shooting Pawel Pawlikowski's
The Woman in the Fifth, opposite
Kristin Scott Thomas, while Akerman's recent screen credits include
Couples Retreat and
The Heartbreak Kid.
And, for all her fans out there, she can be seen opposite Katie Holmes in The Romantics.
The Numbers Station has $10 million budget, and the film will begin shooting in early 2011.
