Linda Lovelace is quite popular in Hollywood these days. I'm sure you all remember our previous reports about two Lovelace biopics – one with
Amanda Seyfried in the leading role simply titled
Lovelace and the other one with
Malin Akerman, titled
Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story.
So, as you already had a chance to read on our site,
Inferno project would star
Malin Akerman and
Matt Dillon in the leading roles.
Now it looks that project is quite a mystery. And as you see in our title, even Akerman doubts that the movie will ever be made.
In an interview with THR, Akerman said:
“I don't know if that's even going to go. Last I heard, which was just before Christmas, we were supposed to start shooting in March, and now it's April. It's been one of those doomed films that I absolutely love and totally believe in, I love the script, I think it's such a well-written script about the behind-the-scenes of a battered woman.”
She also added: “I would hope and love for it to go, but now this other movie is coming on that Amanda Seyfried did, and I kind of feel like,
Shit, we should have been on that, we should have done it and also revealed:
“I said, ‘Okay, next time they say we're going, I'll wait until the money is in escrow and we're ready to go and then I'll start prepping.”
So, as you already guess – money is the biggest problem as usual.
But, we'll keep an eye on Inferno, so with every new detail – we'll be back!
