Luke Wilson has joined the growing cast of the
Justin Reardon-directed film
A Many Splintered Thing.
Wilson will star along the previously announced
Chris Evans, Michelle Monaghan, Anthony Mackie, Topher Grace, Aubrey Plaza, and
Giovanni Ribisi.
Penned by
Chris Shafer and
Paul Vicknair, the film described as (500) Days of Summer meets Amelie tells story of a young man disillusioned by love who meets a a woman and falls for her at a charity dinner by pretending to be a philanthropist. When he finds out she is engaged to a guy who doesn't like her going on dates he feigns a platonic relationship in order to keep seeing her.
No details were revealed about Wilson's character, but Grace will reportedly play the poser's best friend, while Evans and Monaghan are set to play the would-be lovers.
As for Wilson, he recently toplined the television series ‘Enlightened' and can be next seen coming up in Elvis & Nixon, A recreation of the meeting at the White House between Elvis Presley and President Nixon.
The rom-com film is the feature-length directorial debut of Reardon, which production begins in Los Angeles on November 6th.
