Like we said, something crazy is happening with
X-men: First Class casting rumors.
First we learned that
Nicholas Hoult will play Beast, then we had a chance to hear
Caleb Landry Jones will play Banshee, that Kick-Ass star
Aaron Johnson will play Cyclops, while
Lucas Till will end up playing the mutant Havok.
Then, like this is not enough of confusion, we heard that characters Multiple Man and Willow will also be in the movie. But today, we have some new information about the upcoming
Matthew Vaughn‘s project…
So, it looks like in this moment only these characters are for sure:
James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier,
Michael Fassbender as Magneto, and
Nicholas Hoult as Beast.
We still have no idea whether above mentioned characters and actors will be the part of this project, since we have several reports saying “this could be part of a misdirection campaign to keep some surprises from X-Men fans”.
However, it's widely believed that Cyclops will be in the movie as will the other original X-Men: Jean Grey, Iceman and Angel.
But let us repeat once again. Rumored casting still includes Aaron Johnson as Cyclops,
Amber Heard as Mystique,
Rosamund Pike as Moira MacTaggart,
Lucas Till as Havok,
Alice Eve as Emma Frost and
Celeb Landry Jones as Banshee.
After all these mixed up reports, let us also mention that the movie will center on the formation of the X-Men, how they began, and the relationship between a young Xavier and a young Magneto.
The X-men: First Class movie is set to go into production this summer, and the studio has set a June 3rd 2011 release date. We'll definitely keep you updated, stay tuned!
