Les Miserables trailer, well, the new international trailer for Les Miz showcases the vocal capabilities of stars like
Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, and
Samantha Barks.
If you don't count yourself among the folks that can just get into musicals you may find out that this new UK trailer is more depressing than it was a teaser or extended production trailer for
Tom Hooper‘s new adaptation.
However, Hooper's approach gives the show real cinematic mash-up as well as we at last get footage of
Sacha Baron Cohen and
Helena Bonham Carter.
Furthermore, the trailer below is the first to really focus down to the bare bones of what the story is with Inspector Javert's authoritarian pursuit of Jean Valjean, his compassionate relationship with the doomed Fantine and her daughter Cosette, as well as a little Marius thrown in.
It begins with the sound of young Cosette humming ‘Castle in a Cloud,' but then moves on to other memorable songs from the musical based on Victor Hugo's timeless novel, scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 25th, 2012.
