Humans, angels, demons, supernatural powers –
Syfy has has greenlighted a 90-minute pilot called
Dominion, which will apparently be some kind of
Legion spin-off.
Or, if you prefer – an adaptation of
Scott Stewart's 2010 film, that starred
Paul Bettany and revolved around a group of strangers who fight for the welfare of humanity.
The good thing is that Stewart is once again on board to direct and executive produce the whole thing, and
Vaun Wilmott, who is also penning Syfy's miniseries “Ringworld”, will write and co-exec produce the project together with Bold Films' Michel Litvak and David Lancaster.
At this moment we know that Dominion is set 25 years in the future after a war between an army of angels and mankind has transformed the world. Described as an epic supernatural action drama, it will follow the perilous journey of a rebellious young soldier who discovers he's the unlikely savior of humanity.
And that's basically all we know about the upcoming pilot. But as usual – with every new update we'll be back.
In the meanwhile, let us know what you think – do we really need another “epic” supernatural drama?
