Gearing up for a movie release, Summit Entertainment has brought online four new clips from their upcoming live-action film
The Legend of Hercules, starring
Twilight‘s
Kellan Lutz as the musclebound Greek hero.
It seems pretty obvious now that the fight choreography style director
Renny Harlin (
Die Hard 2) draws from
Zack Snyder‘s
300. But if you like the sword and sandals genre, this flick has enough gladiator actionfest flavors to get you fired up.
One of 2014′s early entries, which has recently undergone a title change from
Hercules: The Legend Begins to
The Legend of Hercules is not to be confused with MGM’s
Hercules: The Thracian Wars, starring
Dwayne Johnson.
Lutz stars as the titular demigod and son of Zeus,
Gaia Weiss as Hebe, the Princess of Crete, along with
Scott Adkins as King Amphitryon,
Liam McIntyre as Sotiris,
Johnathon Schaech as Tarak,
Roxanne McKee as Alcmene,
Liam Garrigan as Iphicles,
Rade Serbedzija as Chiron and
Luke Newberry as Agamemnon.
Daniel Gliat wrote the heroic character battling in the arena, sieging a fortress, and sharing a kiss.
Watch all four clips for the Renny Harlin-directed film which will open on January 10.
