Kirsten Dunst In “Spider-Man 4”?
Kirsten Dunst has revealed that she intends to return to the role of Mary Jane Watson in “Spider-Man 4.”
Both director Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire are “in” for the fourth and fifth installments in the “Spider-Man” franchise. So, Kirsten Dunst does, too.
“I'm in,” she confirmed. “I'm not saying anything, I know there's rumours…”
The actress, whose new film “How To Lose Friends And Alienate People” is released on Friday, spoke to MTV about her future in the franchise.
It is no surprise that Sony would want Dunst to return, since all the major players are coming back. In fact, Sony has previously mentioned that they would do everything they can to make sure she is Mary Jane in the upcoming “Spider-Man 4” and “Spider-Man 5.”
The script for the film was written by Jamie Vanderbilt, and so far the studio is being tight-lipped about the villain and who might play the character.
“Spider-Man 4” is scheduled for an April 30, 2011 release.
