We already had a chat about
Sang-soo Hong‘s latest movie
In Another Country, which competed for the Palme d'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
And now we know that Kino Lorber has acquired all U.S. rights to the movie from South Korean director. The deal was negotiated between Kino CEO Richard Lorber and Finecut CEO Young-joo Suh.
So, check out three clips from the whole thing – I'm sure you're going to love it. Why? Well, maybe because this time we have a much better look at Hong's leading star –
Isabelle Huppert.
Huppert portrays three different woman, all named Anne, who consecutively visit a seaside town, stay at the same small hotel by the shore, venture onto the beach and meet the same group of people, including a certain lifeguard who restlessly wanders up and down the beach.
I'm not sure what to expect from this movie, but I definitely like Huppert, partly because she always looks so funny and confused at the same moment, especially now when she has the supporting Korean cast all around her (just check out the second clip to see what I'm talking about).
As we previously reported, the rest of the cast includes
Moon Seong-geun, Yu Jun-Sang, Moon So-ri, Yoon Yeo-jeong and
Jeong Yu-mi.
Kino Lorber is planning to launch the film onto the U.S. festival circuit during late summer and fall before a national theatrical rollout later this year.
