With most of the original cast set to return, the
Jeff Wadlow-directed
Kick-Ass 2 now has a new villain in the form of Brit thesp/magician
Andy Nyman as The Tumour.
Wadlow's comic book sequel will see the return of
Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and
Chloe Moretz reprise their roles as Kick-Ass, Red Mist and Hit-Girl, with newcomers
Morris Chestnut as Hit-Girl's guardian Marcus Williams,
Donald Faison as superhero Dr. Gravity and
John Leguizamo as one of Red Mist's bodyguards;
Jim Carrey (The Colonel) and Lindy Booth are also still in talks for their parts.
Wadlow confirmed on his
website that he was cast as a villain that is in the villainous group The Toxic Mega-C**ts. They oppose the vigilante group Justice Forever that Kick Ass and Hit Girl are a part of.
However, such gang of supervillains does not appear to have been featured in the
Mark Millar comic-book series on which the sequel is based.
The sequel will start filming this fall, with an August 16th, 2013 release date.
As you may know, Nyman has starred in several British films such as Severance, Death at a Funeral and Black Death.
That's it.
