Universal Pictures have announced that they have begun work on
Jurassic Park IV and that they will open the long-rumored, long-delayed sequel in 3D on June 13th, 2014.
Rumors about the release of Jurassic Park IV spread since 2002 when it was said that
Joe Johnston would return to helm, but the latest word came from producer
Frank Marshall who
suggested that they were aiming to have a sequel ready for summer of 2014.
The film was in development as of December 2011 with a script written by
Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend), but a director has not yet been named. Rise of the Planet of the Apes writers
Rick Jaffa and
Amanda Silver have been recently hired to pen the fourth dino-riffic film. And it's commonly known that
Steven Spielberg will serve as a producer on the project.
The word about movie's release date comes just days after Spielberg's
Robopocalypse has been delayed indefinitely. The widely rumored Moses epic
Gods And Kings, appears to be officially on Spielberg's front burner because the next film he will produce is JP4 .
Markdown June 2014 as the return of Jurassic Park.
Who do you think should serve as director?

There’s an awesome up and coming director, JASON LOCKHART, who would be great for something like this! He has two movies coming out in 2013 and more in the works!
