One thing is for sure – this news and especially this cast sounds great, so let's get straight to the point with this report.
Juliette Binoche and
Clive Owen are in final talks to join
Fred Schepisi‘s new project titled
Words and Pictures.
So basically, on one hand we have this great potential cast, and on the other hand we have a well-known Australian director, so what could possibly go wrong?
Guess nothing. The whole thing is written by
Gerald Di Pego, man behind
Sharky's Machine and
Phenomenon, and at this moment we know that the project is set in a high school where we have a new art teacher, an up and coming artist who has arthritis preventing her doing what she wants to do, while, on the other hand we also have an English teacher who has lost his mojo.
Director Schepisi also revealed the rest of the story by saying:
“So for different reasons they are in a tough place, they fire off one another. They start a competition that they engage the students in, about what's worth more, words or pictures? It's very good.”
It sounds very good, indeed, and I'm happy to hear that Words and Pictures will start shooting in January 2013.
Let's also add that the US-set film will potentially shoot in Rhode Island.
