The Order: Jude Law & Nicholas Hoult Star in Thrilling New Action Film Based on True Events
Prepare for one of the most gripping films of the year. The Order, directed by Australian filmmaker Justin Kurzel, brings a dark chapter of 1980s American history to life. Starring Jude Law as a seasoned FBI agent and Nicholas Hoult as the chilling domestic terrorist Bob Mathews, this action-packed thriller dives into the alarming rise of violent neo-Nazi activity.

Set against the backdrop of real-life events, The Order is based on the book The Silent Brotherhood by Kevin Flynn. The film follows a lone FBI agent's harrowing journey to stop a series of violent crimes, including bank robberies and bombings, orchestrated by a group of white supremacists intent on overthrowing the U.S. government.

The movie, which premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, has already earned rave reviews. One critic even called it “a riveting, intense story about neo-Nazis in America—and is as relevant as ever.” With its timely themes and thrilling pace, The Order is bound to strike a chord with audiences.
The stellar cast includes not just Law and Hoult, but also Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett, Marc Maron, Odessa Young, and Alison Oliver. Directed by Kurzel (Macbeth, Nitram), the film features a script co-written by Zach Baylin and Gary Gerhardt. It will make its U.S. debut in select theaters on December 6, 2024, courtesy of Vertical.
This is a film that asks hard questions about America's troubled history with extremism. What are your thoughts on the rise of such themes in modern cinema? Are films like The Order more important now than ever?
