“Joker 2: ”Folie à Deux” has generated tremendous enthusiasm and is already expected to be among the most popular movies of 2024. This follow up super villain to the groundbreaking “Joker” is even more audacious and audacious with Todd Phillips at the helm in the director's chair. Current speculation reports indicate that Attack the Block will be approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes long, providing fans with an engaging three hours of film.

The film is based on the music therapy classes in the mental hospital Arkham, where Arthur Fleck, the role of which is again played by Joaquin Phoenix, meets Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga. This is not the Harley Quinn we read about in the funny books; instead, what is known to her associates is simply Harleen, or ‘Lee' for the affectionate nickname that Arthur has for her. Their darker pasts are revealed and make them closer as they progress through their asylum experience as well as their escape plan which become tragic.

Another interesting component of the film can be the musical part of “Joker 2”. That was just the trailer, the actual movie has more than twenty songs most of them performed by the movie's star Lady Gaga. First of all, she performs a cover of Dinah Washington's ‘The Bitter Earth.' It is undoubtedly one of the best performances for now. Out of these five tracks one is a cover while four are newfound tracks adding a new dimension to the movie music score.
Lawrence Sher, the cinematographer from the trailer, is back, meaning audiences can likely expect some more intense scenes hinted at in the preview. Phillips never shies away from audacity and the unconventional decisions made for this film is evident that he swings for the fences. This is either going to be a grand piece of art or a gross attempt at experimentation and we can't help but applaud the daring factor.

Set for release on October 4, 2024, “Joker 2: Folie à Deux” will also be available to be seen in IMAX 70MM format, meaning the audience will get the feeling of being on the screen. There are speculations that it might open the Venice Film Festival in September before it goes to other festivals and major cinemas. As anticipation builds, one thing is certain: this film will be expected to be of such a high quality that every movie lover will be eager to watch it.
