Larry Charles, best known for directing projects like
Borat and
Bruno is set to direct comedy titled
Pierre, Pierre with
Jim Carrey in the leading role.
This is not something completely new, because, believe it or not,
Jason Reitman was previously attached to this project.
So, if you miss Jim Carrey, (and by that we mean – funny Jim Carrey), here's something that could bring him back to comedic roots.
Edwin Cannistraci and
Frederick Seton wrote the script two years ago, and the story will follow Carrey as “self-indulgent, lazy, French nihilist who is transporting a stolen Mona Lisa from Paris to London.
Through the journey, he comes to love his home country again.”
Larry Charles has signed on to direct the $20 million film, while producers Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Brian Sher will buy Pierre Pierre to studios once again.
As you see, not much info about the
Pierre, Pierre project, but we'll keep you updated. Make sure you stay tuned!
