Good news for all
Jessica Alba fans out there – we've just learned that a lovely actress is officially on board for the upcoming action thriller
Barely Lethal! Here's another good news:
Machete Kills star will join previously announced
Samuel L. Jackson and
Hailee Steinfeld, and as you already see from our title – Alba will play the villain of the movie! Head inside to read more details…
So, at this moment we know that
Kyle Newman is set to direct the whole thing from a script written by
John D'Arco, while
Brett Ratner and John Cheng are on board to produce the project for
Rat Entertainment.
The movie will revolve around a 16-year-old international assassin yearning for a normal adolescence who fakes her own death and enrolls as a senior in a suburban high school.
In other words, Steinfeld is set to play that girl named Megan who yearns for a normal life and stages her own death in order to escape from a boarding school that trains assassins like her.
She hides out in a suburban high school but discovers that normal school life comes with its own challenges.
Jackson is on board to play her mentor at the assassin's school, while Alba jumps in to play a woman named Victoria Knox aka the person sent to bring Megan back.
Filming begins this October, so I guess we'll pretty soon have more details to share.
