So, ever watched
dog fight? No? Good then, you'll soon have a chance to watch it, because we've just learned that
Jason Sudeikis is now on boad for the upcoming
Dog Fight comedy, which already stars
Will Ferrell and
Zach Galifianakis.
Yeah, nothing to be surprised about, I'm sure you already know that director
Jay Roach will be in charge for the whole thing, and that this time, we'll have a political comedy…
Previously titled
Southern Rivals, the movie follows Galifianakis and Ferrell as two rival politicians in a small congressional district in South Carolina.
Chris Henchy (who has written several of Ferrell's comedies) is behind the script along with
Shawn Harwell. And that's basically all we know about the Dog Fight at this moment.
Still, the good thing is that we'll probably have more details very soon, because filming is set to begin in mid-November in New Orleans for an August 2012 release. So, don't worry!
At the end of this report, let us just add that the rest of the cast includes
Sarah Baker and
Katherine LaNasa and that Galifianakis is producing along with Roach, through his Everyman Pictures, and Ferrell and Adam McKay, through their Gary Sanchez Productions.
