Get ready for another comedy! We've just learned that
Jason Bateman is set to produce and potentially star in the upcoming Universal pic titled
Family Therapy. One wedding, one therapist, one dysfunctional family and –
Identity Thief star! Well, when you put it that way – this doesn't sound bat at all…
At this moment we know that the whole thing is written by
Jay Reiss (man who stands behind the hit Broadway musical
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), and the movie will revolve around:
…a dysfunctional but loving family that hires a therapist to fix their problems on the eve of an impending wedding.
Jason Bateman is set to produce through his
Aggregate Films company, (they recently produced
Identity Thief), and the company is also producing Bateman's directorial debut
Bad Words.
Will Bateman come on board to play the lead?
Everything is possible!
As usual – make sure you stay tuned for more updates, and in the meanwhile, let us remind you that Bateman will next be seen in
Disconnect, where he stars alongside
Hope Davis,
Alexander Skarsgard and
Paula Patton.
