Not sure if
James Frecheville likes animals, but it sure looks like animals like him. We've just learned that
Animal Kingdom star is set to join previously announced
Tom Hardy and
Noomi Rapace in an upcoming
Animal Rescue movie. As you already know, the whole thing comes from director
Michael R. Roskam, and is based on
Dennis Lehane‘s short story of the same name.
Roskam will direct the movie from Lehane's own script which revolves around a man who sheds his criminal past but gets mixed up in a heist that goes bad.
Hardy is on board to play that guy, while Rapace is set to star as a scarred woman named Nadia, who lives near where Hardy's character finds a wounded puppy.
Frecheville, according to the latest reports, jumps in to play a small-time criminal.
Anyway, as we mentioned before, the movie is based on short story by
Dennis Lehane that appeared in the Akashic Books anthology
Boston Noir, and just for a record, Lehane is the author of the novels that led to the films
Gone Baby Gone,
Shutter Island and
Mystic River, so we have nothing to worry about.
