May I have your attention, please?
Interior. Leather Bar. is an upcoming
homo-sex-art-film which comes from
James Franco and San Francisco filmmaker
Travis Mathews.
Sounds weird? Wait until you see the first poster for the whole thing! The movie will debut at this month's
Sundance Film Festival, it is also set to screen at the 2013
Berlinale, and that's pretty much all you're going to see from the full poster if you check out the rest of this report!

Originally titled,
James Franco's 40 Minutes,
Interior. Leather Bar. is actually an homage to
William Friedkin‘s 1980 thriller
Cruising, which starred Al Pacino as a police detective who goes undercover in the gay S&M sex scene to investigate the serial murders of gay men within the subculture.

Beside
James Franco, the movie also stars
Val Lauren,
Christian Patrick,
Travis Mathews,
Brenden Gregory and
Brad Roberge.
Check out the first trailer and the official synopsis:
Amid the backdrop of a frenzied film set, actor Val Lauren reluctantly agrees to take the lead in the film. Val is repeatedly forced to negotiate his boundaries during scenes on and off camera, as unsimulated gay sex happens around him. The film itself is constructed as a play with boundaries remaining queer in subject and form. As much a film about filmmaking as it is about an exploration of sexual and creative freedom, Interior. Leather Bar. defies easy categorization.
So, any thoughts about this?
