Exactly!
Jack Nicholson could play the central role in a Las Vegas Comedy about four childhood friends now in their 70s reuiniting in Vegas, that is already being called
Grumpy Old Men meets The Hangover.
Ok, we all understand that this is just an offer, and that Nicholson might not take it, right? But still, with a story like this, it's really hard to imagine anybody else in this kind of role, admit it!
So, what we know about this upcoming project, goes something like this: it is a story about four estranged male childhood friends from the 50s (now in their 70's) who reunite in Vegas to finally marry off Billy, the lifelong unmarried playboy of the group.
Now you see why it's already described as a senior's version of The Hangover?
The whole thing comes from the screenwriter
Dan Fogelman, and it's called
LASt Vegas.
We also have some reports saying that “the script kicks off with the reunion motivated by the impending marriage of Billy, the group's lifelong unmarried playboy, and that would be Nicholson's role. While in Vegas, Billy and his widower friend Paddy start to fall for the same lounge singer. That kicks off the real comedy and conflict.”
So, as you see, Billy is described as a “mischievous imp” and since we managed to get part of his dialogue, check this out: “.. and you remember what I said, Ronnie? I said: “Ronnie, I know you're down in the dumps. But as a fellow bachelor, let me assure you – you'll bounce back. Because you may not be very smart, and you may not be very rich, but Pal: you sure are fucking ugly.”
That definitely sounds like Nicholson, and for the rest of the cast, we'll just have to wait and see…
Anyway, we must say that this could be something interesting to watch, why not? With a story like this, and actors who don't usually get this kind of roles these days, it could be even called (weird, but true) fresh comedy. We'll keep an eye on this one, so stay tuned for some detailed information, guys!
Fiona, this photo is amazing!
I looked for it everywhere on the web… without ever finding it.
My wish is to be able to have it in my room, but the resolution doesn’t good for it… That would be a great gift to know where a find the better quality version!! Please! =)
