Well, it seems that Justice League won't be the only big
DC Comics union.
Rumor is that
Guillermo del Toro is going to follow up his monster epic Pacific Rim with
Heaven Sent, which is said to be his version of The Avengers.
Hellboy director is planning on teaming the DC comic book character Deadman with a slew of other DC supernatural characters, combining all the magical beings like
Deadman, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, Constantine Hellblazer, Phantom Stranger, Zatanna, Zatara, Sargon and
Etrigan the Demon in one epic adventure (
Swamp-Thing probably being the one potential hold-out).
The director has reportedly passed on several big projects including a big-screen version of V and a gestating sequel to
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but he's keen to direct the Heaven Sent film.
Word comes that Warner's lawyers have been working to clear the rights to all these characters.
Because this is the kind of movie that would have geeks and nerds going crazy, adding Del Toro into the mix you've got a match made in heaven, but the film is also deemed too dark to warrant a big budget.

Additionally, Universal, who earlier signed a deal with Del Toro, might finally be moving forward with Crimson Peak, a script he co-wrote with
Matthew Robbins.
Stay tuned.
