The international trailer for
Red Lights, written and directed by Rodrigo Cortés (Contestant, Buried), has just been released. The film stars
Sigourney Weaver as Margaret Matheson, a respectable psychologist who collaborates with fellow skeptic Tom Buckley (
Cillian Murphy) on an investigation to demonstrate that world-renowned practitioner of the psychic arts, Simon Silver (
Robert De Niro), is a fraud.

“Red Lights” starts out from the experiences of two rationalist scientists who dissect phenomena from the metapsychic world, and the clash of forces with a world famous psychic they bring about. The past and the present of each the protagonists contain still unrevealed shadows, setting in train a dark story of growing tension, full of unexpected twists and turns.
According to
Twitch, Millennium Entertainment acquired the United States distribution rights for a respectable sum of $4 million.
No U.S. release date for this one yet, Red Lights will premiere in Spain on March 2nd, 2012.
