Look who's here guys!
Iko Uwais, star of
The Raid: Redemption has joined the cast of
Keanu Reeves‘ directorial debut titled
Man of Tai Chi.
We already had a little chat about this project, so I'm sure you know that quite serious team is behind the whole thing. Not to mention that concept video we shared with you, which proves that this stuff is going to be awesome!
So, Reeves' movie will be set in Beijing and it will center on a young martial artist (
Tiger Chen), whose exceptional skills present him with both fantastic opportunities and tough personal choices.
We already have Reeves on board to star in the whole thing as well, together with Tiger Chen who will play the above mentioned martial artist.
As for Uwais, at this moment we know he comes on board to fight Chen in one of the movie's final scenes.
And while we're still here at fight-part, let us just remind you that there will be 18 fights, which is about 40 minutes of fighting, according to director.
Michael G. Cooney is responsible for the screenplay, while Lemore Syvan and Daxing Zhang are on board to produce the movie.
Universal Pictures is co-financing and distributing along with Village Roadshow Asia, China Film Group and Wanda Media Group.
The movie is currently in pre-production, and it will shoot in Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau.
Stay tuned for more Man of Tai Chi updates!
