Idris Elba and
Johnny Whitworth are in “advanced” talks to join the cast that already includes
Nicolas Cage, Ciaran Hinds and
Violante Placido.
The sequel's story follows: “Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider, hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse.
Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Ciaran Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son's body on the kid's birthday.”
Nicolas Cage is back as the demonic biker anti-hero, and according to some reports, Elba will play an alcoholic warrior monk tasked with finding Ghost Rider, while Whitworth will play a criminal who is recruited by the devil (Hinds) to find the boy and is later turned into a demonic creature.”
The film is set to begin shooting in late November in Romania and Turkey.
Let us also remind you that the sequel currently has a 3D release scheduled for February 17, 2012.
