Henry Simmons is probably best known as that tough guy from
NYPD Blue TV series, but we will soon have a chance to watch him in Screen Gem's new thriller titled
No Good Deed.
He comes on board to star next to previously announced
Idris Elba and
Taraji P. Henson in a film which will be directed by
Luther helmer
Sam Miller.
The story comes from
96 Minutes scribe
Aimee Lagos, and will follow a former D.A turned stay-at-home mom and her children who are terrorized and kidnapped after she invites a handsome but mysterious stranger into their home to wait for help after his car runs off the road.
At this moment we know that Henson plays the mom while Idris is on board for the mysterious handsome stranger role. As for Simmons, he jumps in to play Henson's businessman husband.
Will Packer and Lee Clay are going to produce No Good Deed while Elba will exec produce together with Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lindsay Williams and Rob Hardy.
