Armie Hammer, Ben Kingsley, John Malkovich, Michael Sheen and
Teresa Palmer have all boarded the crime thriller, which twists its way from heist movie to farcical black comedy.
Based on the 2009s Black List script by
Roberto Patino, the story follows
a young auto mechanic and former high school football star who wants to get the hell out of this tiny town frozen in time. His attempt to do so sets in motion a series of events that will change his life, and the life of Cut Bank, forever.
Matt Shakman (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will make his feature directorial debut on the project, which has rounded up once hell of a great cast. Therefore, he said:
Cut Bank is a clever morality tale, a visceral thriller and ultimately a surprising story of redemption. John Ford by way of David Fincher. [It] offers a director's dream: a great visual world and a brilliant collection of characters to populate it.
Hammer, who is currently filming Disney's Lone Ranger, will reportedly portray the protagonist, Dwayne McLaren.
No word yet as to what roles the other actors will take on.
Production begins in the fall of 2012.

i wonder if the whole “border town” issue will be shown?
(if you don’t know..Cut Bank is right on the border of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation)
((and there is a history of what some would call racism in this town))
good times.
