I am not speaking on behalf of Romeo Montague, I'm just teasing you a bit. The eponymous heroine in upcoming Carlo Carlei's Romeo and Juliet reboot (set to arrive on February 14th, 2013),
Hailee Steinfeld is in final negotiations to join Fox's comedy
Why We Broke Up.
Should she sign on True Grit star will be playing the role of Min, a high school sophomore in the film adapted by Lemony Snicket author
Daniel Handler from his book of the same name. Handler also wrote the script for the new comedy being directed by
Beth McCarthy-Miller (30 Rock).
Min enjoys hanging out with friends at their favorite coffee shop; she falls for Ed, a senior and captain of the basketball team, and gets caught up in their roller coaster romance; the story unfolds a few weeks after their break-up, when she drops off a letter and a box of mementos on his porch.
As for McCarthy, she is set to direct the upcoming Melissa McCarthy-led comedy Tammy.
An incredibly talented Steinfeld will also appear in the sci-fi bestseller Ender's Game and the upcoming Can a Song Save Your Life?, playing the daughter of Mark Ruffalo's character.
Stay tuned.
