Greg Kinnear and
Jennifer Connelly are reportedly in negotiations (or they have already signed on?) to co-star in first-time director
Josh Boone‘s family drama
Stuck in Love.
The film focuses on a successful novelist (Kinnear) whose home life isn't nearly as stable as his professional career and his ex-wife (Connelly) as they navigate life with their college-aged daughter and teenage son.
Boone wrote the original script and will also direct with production from Informant Media's Judy Cairo, who is best known for her work on Crazy Heart and who is also currently at work on Hysteria, which will star Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy, and on The Expatriate as well.
If Kinnear and Connelly both confirm the drama, it will be the second time they have played a married couple, following 2011s Salvation Boulevard.
Kinnear's dark comedy Thin Ice hits theaters on February 17, 2012.
He will also be seen later this year alongside Julianne Moore, Nathan Lane and Mirror Mirroractress Lily Collins in The English Teacher.
The Oscar-winning co-star of A Beautiful Mind, Connelly also appeared in The Dilemma last year.
Filming for
Stuck in Love is reportedly scheduled to begin filming in Wilmington, North Carolina in March.
