The big casting news for today is that both Giovanni Ribisi and Liam Neeson are set to star in Seth MacFarlane‘s next project titled A Million Ways To Die in The West. As we previously reported, the movie will revolve around a cowboy who begins to train as a gunfighter with a famous outlaw, and the cast already includes Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried. So far – so good.
Seth MacFarlane wrote the script with Alex Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, and is also set to star as the above mentioned cowboy – a cowardly sheep farmer who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend leave him for another man.
Things change when a mysterious woman rides into town and helps him find his courage. But when her outlaw husband arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test.
Amanda Seyfried is on board to play MacFarlane's girlfriend, Charlize Theron will play that mysterious woman, and, according to the latest reports, Liam Neeson is on board to play Theron's outlaw husband.
As for Giovanni Ribisi, he jumps in to play MacFarlane's character best friend.
Media Rights Capital will produce this comedy Western which starts shooting this May, and as usual – with every new update – we'll be back!
