Gil Bellows and
Austin Nichols have rounded out the ensemble cast of the
Tom Hanks-produced JFK-assassination drama film
Parkland.
Journalist-turned-screenwriter
Peter Landesman, the writer and director of Parkland has been blessed with a
marvelous cast including
Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thorton, Zac Efron and
Marcia Gay Harden, as well as an indie darling
Mark Duplass who has recently booked a role of campaign advisor and friend to John F. Kennedy, Kenny O'Donnell.
Parkland will ‘look inside the Parkland hospital — which housed John F. Kennedy, Lee Harvey Oswald, and, years later, Jack Ruby as they all perished — on November 22nd, 1963 as their workers and members of the President's staff dealt with the chaos of that day.'
In order to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the 35th president's death, producers are eyeing the U.S. theatrical release later this year.
Best known for the roles of Tommy Williams in The Shawshank Redemption and Billy Thomas in the TV series ‘Ally McBeal,' Canadian film and television actor Bellow has most recently been seen in the CBS period drama series ‘Vegas' and Starz series ‘Boss.'
Nichols is perhaps best known for his role as Julian Baker in The CW drama series One Tree Hill and was most recently on Fox series ‘The Mob Doctor.'
