Things are pretty clear – horror fans, get ready for
Sinister 2! We've just learned that
Jason Blum‘s
Blumhouse Productions is moving forward on its third micro-budget franchise with the sequel to last year's horror pic
Sinister. Surprise? Not at all. I mean, we're talking about the $3 million film which then grossed almost $80 million worldwide, remember?
So, the good thing is that the duo behind the original movie –
Scott Derrickson and
C. Robert Cargill are back as writers (and will also produce the sequel alongside Blum), although, at this moment it looks that Derrickson (who directed the first movie) will not direct
Sinister 2.
As you already know, the original movie starred
Ethan Hawke as a true crime novelist who stumbles into a grim supernatural mystery that threatens the lives of his entire family.
The rest of the cast also included
Juliet Rylance,
Clare Foley and
Michael Hall D'Addario.
What will happen next?
We have no idea, as you already guess – at this moment cast and story for the sequel are being kept under wraps.
But, don't worry, with every new update on
Sinister 2 we'll be back, so stay tuned!
