A little bird told us that the
Hunger Games star
Isabelle Fuhrman will join the crew of
David Gordon Green‘s (
Pineaple Express) new horror,
Suspiria, which is already graced by
Isabelle Huppert,
Janet McTeer,
Michael Nyqvist and
Antje Traue.
This ballet-themed horror movie (thank you,
Black Swan, for re-introducing ballet into movies!) is, knowing its director, probably been done to the level of perfection, so even if it is a remake (which I don't approve much in general) of
Dario Argento‘s 1977 movie (who will co-write the script for the remake), my guess is we will enjoy it.
Isabelle will play Susie, a young girl who travels to Europe to attend a prestigious school. When her colleagues start dying in a horrible manner, she begins to suspect that not all is as it seems within the school halls.
Although she played the antagonist in
Hunger Games, her role of the adopted daughter in the 2009's
Orphan was far more vile and her performance brilliant – I remember having real chills like a child while watching the movie, something that most of today's horrors are unsuccessful at invoking en moi. So if she repeats or surpasses the acting quality from
Orphan, I'll be thrilled!
Also a little trivia: another star from
Hunger Games,
Jennifer Lawrence, turns to horror after the young adult fiction movie – she will take the main role in
House at the End of the Street this September.
