Frank Miller has revealed to MTV that he is in talks to direct a big screen version of his own comic book
Hard Boiled.
The story focuses on insurance investigator Carl Seitz as he discovers he is a cyborg assassin named Nixon. Miller wrote the original comic in 1990 with Geof Darrow providing art.
Speaking at the NY Comic Con, Miller admitted: “We're talking about [it]. I've got a really unusual way I want to do it.”
Miller co-directed
Sin City with
Robert Rodriguez and is currently working on a film version of
The Spirit.
He added: “I'm in love with directing. I've found a way to expand my career. Comics and directing are really two sides of the same coin. That's what Robert Rodriguez taught me… good drama is good drama.”
Nicolas Cage and director
David Fincher were previously attached to a Hard Boiled film adaptation.
