Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a film adaptation Jeff Kinney's best-selling first book in the illustrated novel series of the same title. Its story chronicles the adventures of middle school students Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) and Rowley Jefferson (Robert Capron) over the course of an academic year, as told through Greg's diary and hand-drawn cartoons.
The film, directed by Thor Freudenthal, also stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Rachael Harris, Steve Zahn and Robert Capron.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid will be released to theaters on April 2, 2010.

Great Movie “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” and I am a college (UCLA) man who went with friends to see it when it came out. We thought it was terrific and entertaining. I didn’t even know it was a book series until after I saw the movie. Reading the books is unnecessary as you will enjoy the movie anyway.
I just saw the new trailer for the second movie “Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Rodrick Rules” and it looks great! It looks even funnier than the first. Fox should really market this movie to more than just middle schoolers – as adults and high school kids are ones that czn really relate after living through that ordeal. This was really a fun and very entertaining movie. We thought it was one of the better films of 2010.
Highly recommend the original movie for any high school kid or adult. We are, for sure, going to see the new Diary movie coming out in March…
