Just one day after news broke that Primer writer/director
Shane Carruth had made a new movie called
Upstream Color and it was premiering at the upcoming 2013
Sundance Film Festival. And, now there's a teaser trailer to go along with it.
The follow-up to Carruth's 2004 time travel film stars Carruth himself,
Amy Seimetz, Andrew Sensenig, and
Thiago Martins. Judging from this trailer alone, Upstream Color looks equally intriguing and sounds anything but mainstream.
A new poster and a batch of new stills from Carruth's new film have been recently revealed and you can watch them all below.
The title ‘upstream color' might be referring to ‘an esoteric biopharmeceutical term that describes impurities present early in the processing/manufacture of a chemical,' or looks like director did cocaine. However, the trailer isn't a spectacular, but it does a job of teasing the wonderfully strange and perplexing world that Carruth has crafted.

Here is the plot synopsis from the Sundance catalog:
A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism. Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives.
