the first look at
James Wan‘s upcoming
horror thriller
The Conjuring (previously titled The Warren Files) and I'm sure you already recognize
Vera Farmiga‘s lovely face, right? Ok then, make sure you read the rest of this report for more details about Wan's movie which opens next summer!
Wan directs the whole thing from a script written by Chad & Carey Hayes, and the film is based on the true story of demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren, who were among the first paranormal investigators in the controversial Amityville haunting.
So, yes, consider this as an alternate take on
The Amityville Horror, 'cause Wan's story will take place prior to the Amityville haunting.
Vera Farmiga plays Lorraine Warren (click on the image for a better look, thanks to
Bloody-Disgusting),
Patrick Wilson is Ed Warren, while the rest of the cast also includes
Ron Livingston,
Lili Taylor,
Mackenzie Foy and
Joey King.
The Conjuring is currently set to open on July 19th, 2013.
