Yesterday, you already had a chance to
check out leading cast for
Luc Besson‘s dark comedy
The Family (previously known as
Malavita). After the first official poster and a couple of photos, Relativity Media has released the first trailer for the
Martin Scorsese-produced movie with a big hitting cast, led by the likes of
Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and
Tommy Lee Jones.
The upcoming action comedy so-written by Besson follows the Manzoni mob family that has gone into witness protection in France, but things don't go so well and they soon slipped back into their old ways.
It's nice to see DeNiro back in the gangster genre.
Also starring
Dianna Agron and
John D'Leo, the story of the Manzonis is scheduled for a September 20th, 2013 release.
Check out the first trailer for the quirky action-comedy
The Family in the vain of Besson's previous films like
Red,
True Lies and
The Whole Nine Yards.
Synopsis:
A mafia boss and his family are relocated to a sleepy town in France under the witness protection program after snitching on the mob. Despite the best efforts of Agent Stansfield to keep them in line, Fred Manzoni, his wife Maggie and their children Belle and Warren can't help but revert to old habits and blow their cover by handling their problems the ‘family' way, enabling their former mafia cronies to track them down.
