Emma Watson is set to star in
Queen of the Tearling, an upcoming adaptation of
Erika Johansen‘s book of the same name. The project is still in development (read: no director & writer attached) but the good thing is that Watson will reteam with her
Harry Potter producer

So, at this moment, thanks to
Variety, we know that
Queen of the Tearling book is part of Johansen's fantasy trilogy, which is set three centuries after a small portion of the human race has populated a landmass that mysteriously emerged in the wake of an environmental catastrophe.
It revolves around:
…a nineteen-year-old princess Kelsea Glynn, who must reclaim her deceased mother's throne and redeem her kingdom, the Tearling, from forces of corruption and dark magic of The Red Queen, the sorceress-tyrant of the neighboring country, Mortmesne.
Warner Bros. acquired the rights to the book and will distribute, Heyman will produce along with Jeff Clifford, while Watson will exec produce the project.
Still not sure what to think about the news, but hey – it's
