Another
post-apocalyptic story is coming, and according to the latest reports
Ellen Page is attached to star in it. We're actually talking about an adaptation of
Jean Hegland‘s novel titled
Into The Forest, which will center around two teenage sisters living alone in a remote North California forest.
Unfortunately, that's basically all we know about the project at this moment. There's still nothing about a possible director, we have no idea who will play the other sister, but – hey, at least we do have an offical description of Hegland's novel, and as you're about to see – it sounds pretty cool:
Over 30 miles from the nearest town, and several miles away from their nearest neighbor, Nell and Eva struggle to survive as society begins to decay and collapse around them. No single event precedes society's fall. There is talk of a war overseas and upheaval in Congress, but it still comes as a shock when the electricity runs out and gas is nowhere to be found. The sisters consume the resources left in the house, waiting for the power to return. Their arrival into adulthood, however, forces them to reexamine their place in the world and their relationship to the land and each other.
As usual – we'll keep an eye on this project, so make sure you stay tuned for more updates!
