Canadian actor and
Breakaway star
Vinay Virmani is set to play the male lead in the upcoming oddball theatrical comedy titled
Dr. Cabbie! The project comes from Quebec director
Jean-Francois Pouliot and will revolve around Virmani’s character – a young Indian doctor who works as
a taxi driver…
Jean-Francois Pouliot will direct the movie from a script written by Virmani,
Ron Kennel and
Manu Chopra, and according to the latest reports, it will center on:
…a young Indian doctor, newly-arrived in Canada and having to work as a taxi driver after being rejected by local medical schools. While driving the cab, the young doctor treats people he picks up as passengers as part of a mobile clinic.
Unfortunately, that’s bascially all we know about this project so far. Still, let us also add that Virmani will also serve as a producer alongside Andre Rouleau and Pauline Dhillon, and that
Dr. Cabbie is set to shoot in Toronto.
As usual – with every new update on this comedy – we’ll be back!
