American entertainment company RLJE Films has recently released the official trailer for a new shark film titled The Last Breath, which is directed by Joachim Hedén, a filmmaker from Sweden. Released on July 26 2024 this movie instantly drops the audience into the seats and puts them in the positions of divers in a WWII battleship wreck as great white sharks circle in wait.
The plot revolves around a group of five college friends who assemble for an island scuba diving holiday vacation. Carried out by Levi, portrayed by Julian Sands, an ageing English businessman and owner of a dive business which he runs with Noah, depicted by Jack Parr, a college dropout who joins the crew to look for the wreck of the USS Charlotte, which had sunk many years back. Found after storming in the tropical sea, the wreck turns into a nightmare for them as they are left stranded 30 meters deep with oxygen available in a limited amount and they found that they are not the only people in the that part of the sea.


From the trailer, it comes off that movie is about a nerve-wracking, confined space thrill that comes in the form of horror. ‘I just wanna get out of here!' depicts the struggle of the protagonist in his attempt to survive the onslaught of the many creatures that dwell in the deep sea.
It also features Kim Spearman, Alex Arnold, Erin Mullen, Arlo Carter as well as Julian Sands. Hedén joins this new project; he has previously been involved in the making of the “Breaking Surface”, an underwater thriller that garnered an award. The credits for the screenplay are going to Nick Saltrese, while the production is handled by Andrew Prendergast and Chris Reed.
In conclusion, “The Last Breath” is an excellent film for shark movie fans and those wanting a thrilling high-adrenaline experience.
