Like we told you
back in June, Walt Disney Animation Studios' 53rd full-length animated feature,
Frozen is slated to hit the big screen on November 27th, 2013.
With option to co-direct and help assist the film Disney brought Wreck-It Ralph‘s scribe
Jennifer Lee. Now, the latest round of
concept art by
Jim Finn has made its way online, giving us our first glimpse at the snowy environment along with our first colored look at two main characters, kind-hearted Anna and her cliffhanging friend Kristoff.
In this variation on the classic children's tale ‘
The Snow Queen', Anna (voiced by
Kristen Bell) and Kristoff (whose voice actor hasn't been revealed yet) venture into the mountains to find her older sister Elsa (
Idina Menzel) — who has the power to control wind and ice.
Since the author of ‘The Snow Queen' source material was Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen, there's a Scandinavian vibe to the movie as you may be able to tell from the costumes.
The comedy-adventure is co-directed by Tarzan's
Chris Buck and produced by Peter Del Vecho (Winnie the Pooh).
Original songs by Tony-award winner Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (In Transit) will be featured in the film.

Here's the official syopsys for Frozen:
When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna (voice of Kristen Bell), a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna's sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, a funny snowman named Olaf, Everest-like extremes and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.
