According to the site Nuke the Fridge, the Academy Award-winning actor
Denzel Washington is currently in rumor to be not Superman's greatest villain Lex Luthor, but his ally, Green Lantern, John Stewart.
John Stewart's first exposure to the corps was a stint in the U.S. Marines, where he was recognized as an amazing sharpshooter. Stewart's brief military career put him through college. He became a distinguished and outspoken architect who will always believe something can be built better. He was selected by the Guardians of the Universe to be one of the Green Lanterns for Sector 2814.
An African-American (also wanted for this role were
Idris Elba and
Arrow thesp
David Ramsey) adds another layer to the upcoming Justice League movie and reveals through an inside source that the plan is to make the team into a “United Nations of Superheroes” with Superman (
Henry Cavill) who would represent the entire planet because he is an alien immigrant to the planet and the leader of the group; Batman would represent the United States with
Ben Affleck, an American, in the role; A Hispanic or Latino actor could play The Flash in this scenario and, as we already know, an Israeli woman (
Gal Gadot) will play Wonder Woman.
Note this is a rumor after all.
Zack Snyder‘s
Batman vs. Superman flies into theaters July 17, 2015 and also sees
