
Best known to American audiences as the Remus Lupin from the Harry Potter franchise,
David Thewlis has now joined the cast of the Red sequel as ‘The Frog.'
‘The Frog' is said to be ‘an information dealer who got his name by poisoning the water supply at the Kremlin using a poisonous Amazonian frog.'
Red 2 is a sequel to director Robert Schwentke's 2010 actioner, but
Dean Parisot (Galaxy Queset) is taking the helm this time around.
Bruce Willis as former CIA operative,
Helen Mirren as Victoria,
John Malkovich as Marvin Boggs and
Mary-Louise Parker as Sarah Ross will be reprising their roles, while the other new cast members include
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung-hun Lee, Neal McDonough and
Anthony Hopkins.

Erich Hoeber were also brought back and production is gearing up to start some time this fall whilst Summit/Lionsgate has already given it an July 19th, 2013 release date.
An English actor of stage and screen, Thewlis recently finished shooting two films: Warhorse, directed by Steven Spielberg, and The Lady, directed Luc Besson.
