Danny Trejo and Avatar's
Stephen Lang are both in negotiations to sign on for the action thriller
In the Blood, being directed by
John Stockwell.
Designed as a vehicle for former MMA middleweight champ
Gina Carano, Blood centers on a woman whose husband vanished while they were vacationing in the Caribbean.
Trejo will play the main villain, Big Biz, while Lang will be seen as the protagonist's father/mentor who trained her to be skillfully self-sufficient and brutally tough.
The script is penned by
James Robert Johnston and
Bennett Yellin (Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead) which was polished by
Sean Finnegan and
Gregg Parker.
Stockwell, which all movies starring attractive ladies in tropical locations and settings, earlier said:
This role will showcase not only Gina's fighting skills, but also her acting abilities as her character struggles to reign in her violent past.
In the Blood shooting kicks off this November, starting in Puerto Rico.

Haywire starlet Carano is one of the new additions to Fast Six; Trejo is set to return in Machete Kills and will also be seen in Vengeance, while Lang has a variety of post-production movies including Pawn, Officer Down, The Girl On The Train and Backmask.
