Two months ago we learned that
Kevin Costner,
Hailee Steinfeld and
Amber Heard are all set to star in an upcoming action-thriller which comes from director
McG. As you already see – the film is still awaiting its title, but today we have a little casting update to share with you.
Connie Nielsen, (probably best known as
Lucilla from
Gladiator) has joined the project as well, and she will play Costner's ex-wife.
Written by
Luc Besson and
Adi Hasak, the movie is apparently some kind of a darkly comedic action pic, which will center on Costner's character:
…a Secret Service agent named Ethan Runner, who agrees to come out of retirement for one last mission in exchange for access to an experimental drug that could save his life.
As for the above mentioned cast,
Hailee Steinfeld is on board to play Costner's daughter,
Connie Nielsen is Costner's ex-wife and Steinfeld's mother, while
Amber Heard co-stars as the protag's handler.
EuropaCorp and distributor Relativity Media are currently producing the project in Paris, so I guess we'll soon have more details from the whole thing to share!
