Colin Farrell and Eric Bana in By Virtue Fall
Well, this sounds… No, wait, this looks great! Eric Bana and Colin Farrell are both in talks for the indie drama titled By Virtue Fall (we already wrote about this project).
The movie will be Sheldon Turner‘s directorial debut, although we're all very familiar with his name from last year's Up in the Air (which he co-wrote with Jason Reitman).
At this moment the only thing we know is that the movie will follow “a professional and personal relationship between two characters that evolves from friendship to betrayal and retribution.”
It could be the new indie project, but is “no slamdunk”! It will be financed by Oscar winner Nicolas Chartier's Voltage Pictures for an estimated $20 million, so no wonder we already had a chance to hear the rumor that “both actors want more money for the gig, although Bana is further along in negotiations than Farrell.” The movie is slated to begin production in September.
So as you see, no big details about this story yet, but we'll definitely keep you updated. In the mean time, let's just mention that both Farell and Bana are currently very busy with other projects.
Farell is signed on for Fright Night remake, Horrible Bosses comedy, and David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis.
On the other hand, Bana is set to star in Joe Wright's drama-thriller Hanna together with Cate Blanchett and Saoirse Ronan. Stay tuned!
