We already had a chance to hear some rumors about the upcoming
Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie, but now it's time for something official!
And it goes like this –
Cobie Smulders will reprise her role of Maria Hill in the whole thing!
Anthony Russo and
Joe Russo are directing the action movie which is slated for an April 2014 release, but for more casting rumors, make sure you check out the rest of this report!
First of all, let us remind you that Smulders has previously revealed she has signed up to appear in eight Marvel films, of which Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be her second.
So, as we said at the beginning, she will once again portray her well-known character Maria Hill, who is a member of the espionage agency, which was led by
Samuel L. Jackson‘s character Nick Fury.
And now, when we know who will star in the upcoming Marvel's movie, let's see who is still under a question mark. Samuel L. Jackson, for example – still nothing about whether he will make an appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Guess he will, but still nothing official.
On the other hand, Jessica Brown Findlay is the frontrunner to star as Captain America's next love interest, while
Scarlett Johansson is expected to reprise her role as Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow.
Frank Grillo, as we already reported, will portray Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones – the leader of a criminal gang in New York's lower East Side, and
Chris Evans is will reprise his role as the titular character.
At the end, let us remind you that the second installment will pick-up where
Marvel's The Avengers leaves off, and the movie is expected to focus on defense organization S.H.I.E.L.D.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set to open on April 4th, 2014.
