Ok, when it comes to King Of Pop and his songs, I'm still a huge
Dirty Diana fan, but man, his
Bad is one hell of a song as well!
I'm telling you just watch your mouth, I know your game, what you're about!
And what we're talking about today is
Spike Lee‘s documentary about
Michael Jackson‘s Bad which definitely deserves your full attention, even if you're not MJ's fan! We finally have the first clip from the whole thing, so
take my strong advice – just press
play, don't think twice!
Twenty-five years after the phrase “Who's Bad” became a generation's cultural catchphrase, director Lee, who's also a huge Jackson fan, has embarked on a feature-length film about the album and as you'll see, it looks like he did some great job!
This 1-minute clip is definitely a short one to show us all MJ's talents, but is also enough to send some chill down your spine – especially if you put that 00:27 moment on repeat (like I just did). Awesome man, that's exactly “The Way You Make Me Feel” right now!
And in case you want even more details from the upcoming documentary, here's what Spike Lee previously said in an interview with SF Gate:
“We have footage in this documentary that no one's ever seen, stuff that Michael shot himself, behind-the-scenes stuff. We had complete access to the vaults of Michael Jackson…He wrote 60 demos for the ‘Bad' record. Only 11 made it. So we got to hear a lot of that stuff, too, so it was just a great experience.”
The movie will feature interviews with
Martin Scorsese (who stands behind the Bad video by the way),
Matt Forger, Greg Phillinganes, Jeffrey Daniel, Vincent Paterson, Larry Stessel, John Robinson, Kanye West, Justin Bieber (wtf?!),
Chris Brown and many more.
There's still nothing on the official release date, but with every new update on this one we'll be back as usual.
In the meanwhile, let us know what you think about Lee's Bad so far, and stay bad!
